    WELL SAID again.

You are among the majority of Philippine people who are very nice here that I have experienced. Sure, I have had attempts to rip me off here because I am a foreigner, and fair game, but I learn quick. and by the way, those attempts did not fully succeed. :D Anywhere in the world we travel, we will find good and not so good. We just have to remember that culture differs from Country to Country.

Yes, and also even if you are in the same country, every places has their own set of unique and different culture too, so you really have to be wary and know it asap.

From where i am from, we have different kind-of culture (values) than the people in Dumaguete. Majority, just the same, the Filipino in us, but we always do have our slight differences..

Like from where i am from, we really value gratitude. We say thank you, and not just for the sake of saying it but to be really sincere of it. And people here in Duma, doesn't really exercise the "thank you" attitude. Honestly at first i was sad why are they like this, but i later realized they are grateful enough only that it's not really in their culture to audibly say thank you. (also Zamboanga City and the Sulu area, they don't say thank you! hahaha)

As I have not forgotten the reasons I left my native country in the first place. I really don't miss anything about it. I don't miss the cold. I don't miss the taxes, I don't miss driving an hour an half to work every day. I don't miss paying $4.00 for a loaf of bread or $5.00 for a pack of cigarettes. If you only made $4.00 a day working I bet your customer service would no be up to snuff either. And most don't make that. Average policeman makes $100.00 a month. Justice department in the Philippines and the BRI are nothing more than scams but they cheat everyone.

Wow a Hammers' supporter in Dumaguete....that's great!
I used to live in that part of town, and although football (soccer to the yankees) is not really my fancy, i kind of supported them. Regularly traveled along Barking Road, one could not miss the monument to the great Bobby Moore, opposite the stadium.....

There are a few Hammers fans here. It used to be quite funny when Pirate Bay on the Boulevard was called Happy Freds and owned by Terry. He was a dyed-in-the-wool Millwall supporter!! Nuff said :p

Rodger,Bolton Wanderers might be playing against the Hammers next season, unless big Sam gets Hammers into the premier.
    I think Bolton are doomed.

Could be right Jim. Your guys down and our guys up, although our bid for promotion has stuttered a bit recently.

It's another reason why I prefer to be here - don't have to suffer the pangs of defeat watching them.
