It's easy to produce a list with dozens of examples and more of similar misbehaviour. But who am I to say something about attitude or behaviour of the people ruin the nature and environment of their own country.

 

Yep, I need to keep reminding myself that I am a "guest" and an "alien" who am I to point out such atrocities?

 

So if one doesn't even bother to correct one's own family on this matter, is it okay for you that the country turns into a bigger refuse dump than it is already?
I suppose if one has the mentality of why should I bother, since I'm only an 'alien', once it does turn that way, I guess one can always leave the country and the locals to clear up their our mess.

Nope, im from here. As a filipino itself, i feel pity for those people who dont realized how stupid it is to ignore simple things that in the future will be their sons, daughter environment too..
They always like the best for their children but simple things to take care of our nature for the future not even passing in their mind..

Are you willing to walk right up to them when you see them throwing wrappers and trash and help them understand not only what they are doing to themselves, but to YOU as you've got to live in the trash they are throwing? Ultimately they have no self respect and even less for anyone around them...

 

I did that already especially for children because sometimes they are more easier to talk to and i give them explanation why its not good, it works..They pick it up and hope they do the same when they see one also.
Self descipline is very difficult to see here in the country. People always take it as a joke and just laugh out of it. They dont take it seriously this kind of things especially here.. Sometimes people here think they know everything thats why they dont wanna listen..
Thats what i experienced once with adult when i try to stop them throwing candy wrapper instead of putting it in their bag or keep it for a while and look for the right garbage can or bring it home and put it in the their trash..

 

Don't get me wrong. People I am close to, I will certainly make comments about anything they do wrong. Moreover they know already by my repeating comments it's not done. However telling local people, as a foreigner, on the blvd I don't know that dropping garbage on the ground iso leave it in trash can....??? A foreigner who will do that I surely will ask that if she/he is used to do that @ their home country better go back on the 1st available flight.
