I have been an on and off smoker since I was a teenager, but from the day I sailed into Cebu in 1997 they are so cheap! I haven't been able to lay down even 1 smoke. They are laced with addictive tar and lot's of crap that make it close to impossible to stop. So I got an e cigarette at Robinson's, I will look stupid sitting around with that thing, but I don't care as long as it works. Anyone with experience with one of those things? Never mind the comment's from someone that never smoked, and just say's stop. Ron
Ron, I have never smoked but my brother uses an e-cig. My bro uses a passthrough usb charger when he is at home to save his batteries has wall charger also and cleans all but the battery with 100% medical rubbing alchohol which he says makes his e-cig atomizer last longer. He breathes alot easier since he switched. My brother has been pretty hard on his putting in his pocket and sitting on it, breaking it, putting in shirt pocket and bending over and dropping into water so I gave him an old cell phone case which hold the e-cig, an extra battery and big bottle of the nicotine juice. I know there are several types of e-cigs out there and all of them wear out so you will have opportunity to try different ones. They rpobably won't save you any money there but my brother saves about 2/3 of the cost of cigarettes. I hope you have gleaned something of use from my second hand knowledge. Robert
I've been using an e-cig off/on for about 2yrs now. I have used several different cartridges and although the sensation is somewhat satisfying, it won't replace the real thing, at least for me. I have used it on long Intl flights, late at night.(although its now banned on airlines) and it helped along with nicotine patch and or gum. Its water vapor Your exhaling so it doesn't set off the smoke detector. Albeit I don't blow directly into it. I am not one to tempt fate....I have heard of some people that have quit tobacco, but so far it hasn't been a replacement for me......good luck
PICTURE,PICTURE hehehehe! I tried, didn't work for me, might be ok on long non-smoking trips, meetings etc. For me lightning a cigarette, blowin' stinky smoke, complaining about non-smoker using MY ashtray as trash-bin, all that belongs for me to the overall act of having a smoke. But my days are counted, I want to stop in my office after my renovation is done... now I said it official, there is no way out anymore... Stupid I am...
How I was able to quit smoking Back when I was in the military, like most guys I smoked. We used to get these dried up Pall Mall turds in our C-Ration boxes, horrible smokes. When I got out and my daughter was born, I did not want to blow smoke on her and wanted to quit, I think I was smoking Lucky Strike, fairly strong cigs. What worked for me was I first switched to a lower nicotine filter very mild cigarette called True. After a few months I was able to go cold turkey. I hope those of you who want to quit smoking find a way.
Same here, picked up smoking back in 1991 when I was 25 while attending an in-house 30 day alcohol rehab program..Smoked until the ripe age of 40 and I haven't picked one up in over 6 Years now. I started out with Benson & Hedges 100 light Menthols and slowly weaned Myself to Carlton Menthols which at the time were supposed to be the lightest cigarettes on the market. One pack of those was the same as to two sticks of Marlboro, at least that's what I was told.... too bad they didn't sell something like that in the Philippines.... once I got use to those, the smokers hack went away and it wasn't too hard to kick the habit...cheers
I smoked 2 packs a day for + twenty years, and "just stopped" on Sept 9, 1994 after trying to stop many times before that of course. I found something else that day that had my interest; never craved or went thru withdrawl etc. It was just over
Well I have been puffing away on the e-smoke since yesterday, so far it's helping, only 1 real smoke all day and the plan is for 0 starting tomorrow. I think the reason it's helping is because I planned to stop smoking, and just wanted something to take the edge off. Ron
I quit smoking a few years ago and went back to the old habit of dipping Copenhagen snuff. Just a tiny pinch a few times a day does the trick. Smokeless tobacco of reasonable freshness can be found at the Fuma shop at Ayala.
