I had Sky in dumaguete, Globe in Bacong. I would choose Sky over Globe if it was offered in my area.

Globe. 3mbps package. Pretty fast... when it works. Last months outage was probably the worst ever. We've been a subscriber for the last 3 years i guess.

We just got a Sky 3mbps line for backup line last month. Definitely slower especially on peak hours. Bandwidth seems choked also.

PLDT is the best they are the backbone of internet connection in PI, others are just renting from their line. In Dgte so far I haven't experienced down time. They also give additional 500mbps over your desired plan or bundle.

I'm using GlobeBroadband 1.5mbps at 1,999.00. a month. Unlimited. I play Online games and Download torrents too. I'm satisfied with their service.

you should really experience what i have right now. i'm using sky and i can't even play online games decently in the afternoon and evening, video buffer speeds at websites other than youtube (i'm an otaku and i hunt the net for sites that offer the anime i watch) are slow as hell! and i've experienced A LOT of down times with sky.

I am in Candau-ay, so the cards (Tatoo and Bro) do not work. The apartment where I have been has a Globe connection via Wifi, and for over a year it was a constant headache! Frequently down, many websites would not open at all (I learned on this forum to try using a proxy to open them, and that works somewhat. A better solution is at this site: hotspotshield.com but only use it when there are problems as it gives you popups. It also works for sites like Pandora, which are limited to US). So, I finally got my own PLDT internet. I have more bandwidth, but really do not use it: I mostly need reliablity so I can deal with equity markets. It is still the first month, but so far no problems whatsoever. I hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship!

I use Sky right now and can't wait till next month when I move and can get PLDT again, skycable simply blows. Globe is also horrible and they won't ever get my business again either. I'm an online gamer and watch a lot of streaming video's as well and its so d*mn slow. I can't even play a real game online without constant disconnects with skycable unless I use a tunneler program through an offshore server. Globe is even worse off then skycable.

Problem is you'll find many who say they are happy with what they have but their use is reading emails, news, and other very low bandwidth things. But for high bandwidth users and those who want a low latency for things like gaming its hard. Best I've found is PLDT in the past just where I last moved they wouldn't service.

yeah i've googled their site and checked their plans and i gotta say, their 999 plan does look tasty. so i guess the final verdict is PLDT for a heavy bandwidth user like me? i need your answers first before i disconnect this sunday because i don't wanna experience the same thing i did with sky. checked their plan, got the 1mbps, regretted it for the 2 years that i had with their service.
