Not to be disrespectful for those that don't need or use them, but has anyone found a decent place to get a better-than-lawnmower haircut?
Sibulan Barber Shop,, 35 peso's,, only takes a week or so to grow back right but a lot better than spending a bunch of money for the same service,, just beware of the "Ring Worm"
Erica (a young man of coarse) at Carlos Reyes by the mall does a good job on mine, It only took him about 6 months to learn what I liked. I got a cut a another shop on the mall on a visit, but then I could not get it cut back in the states for about 3 months..there was not enough to cut and style left. Imp gets his shampooed and cut at Paradise Pet Shop Vets.
I agree with Pat about Carlos Reyes. I've never had a bad haircut there, and go there every 2-3 months. I haven't been in their new location by Robinson's yet though. I usually went to the one downstairs in the old Cang's building. I know, now it's moved around the corner from Robinson's. I've also went to their other location down the street from the old Cang's, and had the same guy(?) cut my hair.
That air-conditioned Barber Shop behind Lee Plaza. The Barber's Name is Henry. He is a good Barber. The shop's very clean and cold. Its worth your Money.
On my fourth barber since moving here 2 years ago. Mostly just due to moving. But, I now go to the Dumaguete City Barber Shop just up the street from Holy Child Hospital. My barbers name is Ray. Best haircut I have had yet. Only took 2 visits before he caught on 100% as to how I like it. He earns his keep also as I have "all" my original hair. lol No, it's not your fancy air-con place, but to me he does such a great job I can tolerate the heat which isn't all that bad as I go early in the day. Plus he has fans. Ray has Mondays off. If you want to absorb a little culture this a good place to start. I just don't like paying the "rent" at the malls for what ?, and I like supporting my independent businesses whenever possible. I get get a better haircut than any I had while trying the mall shop. And I have to admit I am a tad vain about my hair. :o To each their own. I enjoy the local touch and I am not a mall type person. I pay P40 for the haircut plus P20 tip.
if a male has his genitals it is a he, no matter how stupid he dress and behave... after the "cut" it is a transgender where "she" might be appropriate, the term woman or girl surely not
