Everytime i see or met people who are soooo lazy about everything or you can sense that person is lazy, i cant avoid not to get annoyed! I mean nothing will happen in your life when your lazy about doing something.. Some signs i see when a person are lazy : 1. The way they walk. 2. The way they talk. 3. The way they handle the conversation. 4. The way they dressed. 5. The food they eat and the way they eat. 6. The way they think. 7. The things they are doing in their lifesytle. 8. The people who dont exercise. 9. The people who dont have a lot to do and can wake up early but they are in bed until afternoon except who those came from work and would like to have a rest for a while, or sick really, this is different. 10. The way they read the book. 11. The way they pick up things that fall down. I just cant be together with this kind of people..
#10 and 11 are totally invalid. And could quite possibly invalidate the whole list.... Truly lazy people don't read books nor do they pick up things that fall down.
Yes sad to see lazy. But, it's not you or me. Don't worry, most I know and see won't live long, they are a dying breed. But they are disgusting. I wonder what kind of employees they were ? or are ? Many are ex-government employees I would guess.
I was born with a "lazy eye" (amblyopia) and thru the years its spread throughout my entire body......:D
One of the first things I noticed upon arriving here was the much slower pace & the national pastime of napping. Yes, it does seem like people here are “lazier” because of this. However, upon closer observation, I realized that it's the intense heat & humidity that make people move slower and act "lazier" around here. You just can't move without breaking out in a sweat so everything must be done at a slower pace. People get up at dawn to avoid the sun. They strive to get most of the day's chores done by 9 a.m. Then you don't see them again til 5 p.m. No one wants to be up and about at noon with the tropical sun beating down on them. I never took naps before but since arriving here I find myself nodding off around 2 p.m. Those expats with air conditioning might not suffer as much from the humidity as the locals. It's easier to be smug when you have a fatter cash flow. I have met many hard-working Filipinos abroad who definitely do not qualify as being lazy. They work double shifts (nurses, factory workers, domestic help, etc.), work overtime on national holidays, never grumble and complain... In fact, many European countries prefer to hire Filipino workers as they have a reputation for being hard-working, reliable & trustworthy. I must admit the monetary incentive is there. Who wants to be a superhero at work, dashing to and fro, when they get paid DAILY wages of 100 pesos here, while a kilo of fish costs more than that? You get minimal work for minimum pay. You pay them right and they'll move their butts.
Not sure if I can agree with your observation. I spent 11 years in southern Taiwan and now 5 years in southern China, both with similar hot & humid tropic climate and my impression is that they're hard working & quite the opposite of lazy with things getting done when needed regardless the position of the sun. Anyhow, I'm wondering if you're seeing the same people that you've talked about becoming "more active" when weather cools off during winter & spring months.
