I spent a long time researching comments in pipe wrap over the last few days, and the majority opinion was definitely negative. Header manufacturers warranties are void if you use header wrap for example. I wanted to leave mine on; it'd only been on a few weeks, but the one layer of wrap wasn't keeping much heat in at all, and the engine really seemed be running hotter.

Plus dyno results reports online aren't seeing any hp gain with it on.

One guy here shipped in two Harleys in one container last year. I think he is due back in town very soon. I can ask him what did regarding customs if I see him.

The other guy has more than one bike waiting to be registered, but I don't know what the progress has been on that. I will probably see him ths week sometime. I do know that even though he had a good contact at the port he brought some in via container, customs was less than pleased when they xrayed the container, and he had to pay more than he'd planned.

Keep in mind both these guys were more concerned about having Harley(s) here than about how much it'd cost to do it..(overall)

Please, any info you can get is very much appreciated. The thing is that all the stock parts I took off to customize my bike has been sold, so I cant just strip out the parts I want and swap it with a new Warrior in the Phils...I am also cost concious so if all else doesnt look good, I'll just sell her here (ouch!!!)

Yeah this has been going on since the motorcycle was invented. I personally would not do it, but I wouldnt condemn it either. Although I've seen some vids where they show the contact patch of a car tire to a mc tire, and its too risky...I hope we can all go riding in the future...

I am sure that your XR200 will do much better without anything wrapped around anything and if it's still running hot than maybe a mainjet larger than the original 102 will do the trick...

I already have a 120 main jet in it; the largest Honda offered on the 2002 XR200R parts page when I ordered the carb/insulator/air box boot.

The carb is a Calif model, so I have ordered the richer jet needle used in the non-Calif model and some richer main jets.
