Shakey's on the boulevard has closed, but Skakey's Robinson's (Dumaguete) is still open, so the result is only half terrible.

Building got sold to the Lhuilliers ( owners of Blue Monkey Grill). Guess they bought the remaining contract of Shakey's as well.

It's a shakey business climate in Dumaguete, Far too much monkey see monkey do. Anyone notice gas stations popping up like mushrooms on a warm damp spring day ? 50 % of them will be closed eye sores withing 2 years after opening. Go figure. I think what we really need are more sari sari type stores with more blaring speakers instead of nice quiet signs advertising what they are selling. Somehow noise seems to sell here, I guess I am ignorant of marketing and sales. Can someone please explain that phenomenum to me.
    Thanks.

You may go to Cangs, they have several sizes of those nice big electronic megaphones, you know the one's they scream from in the back of their easyrides at 50 kmh driving around telling the folks what is going on. If you are quick you can usually catch at least 2-3 words before they fade off into the distance. So no need to SHOUT, let electronics do it for you. But if you want to really blend in then shout into the hand held loud speaker. Loud is better you know. O-|

The Shakeys on the boulevard was horrible anyway. The one at Robinson's is ok tho.

Shakeys in Robinsons is ok? is that the place or the pizzas ? Personnally, i find Shakeys Pizzas overpriced cardboard, Neva's in Piapi, or Canto Fresco on Siliman Ave, best pizzas in town . . and the only places to get a nice pizza at a reasonable price.
(Ynot pizzas okies but pricey. Canto Freso little more expensive than Neva's.)
