Can anyone please answer these questions? Is there a bank in Dumaguete that will open a bank account for an American on tourist visa who currently has a residential address in Dumag? Other cities have reported mixed results in trying to do this with some banks allowing and others not. As far as I know there is no law preventing them from opening an account. In brief what are the requirements for an ACR that Metro bank mentioned when they told me that was required. I will need direct deposit from SSA account as well as an account to transfer funds from my US bank to Phil bank. If not, would I have better luck in Cebu?
