Getting Cuban cigars in the Philippines

I hear there is a place in Manila and Angeles city where you can buy Cuban made cigars. I wanted to hear feedback and opinions from cigar smokers in the Philippines. Since the United States has banned Cuban cigars since 1964 cause of a stupid old law, I plan on getting some while living in the Philippines. I also would like to hear about cigars made in the Philippines. I'm sure there not of quality like the South America brands but would be interested to hear what you guys have to say? Can you buy those cheap drug store type Phillies cigars in the Philippines? What is the best made philippine cigar out there?

 

Try the Yat's Cigar and Wine Shop in Clark and Subic for Cuban cigars. Not sure if this number is still good (632) 637-5019. You could also google them. Hope this helps.

However, Cuban Cigars are available in several upscale Hotels in Manila, like the Mandarin Oriental

There are also some good local cigars available in Manila. Manila Cigars has an outlet in the Alphaland Southgate Mall

 

Just try the philippine cigars. May be, that you will be surprised by the quality. My husband likes the "La Flor de la Isabela". In his opinion there is no need to hide behind the cuban cigars. You can buy them at "Times" near the immigration in Duma.

WOW ! The food looks good at Yats, It's a place that I really have to check out when I go to Angeles city. Thank you guys for the advice. I will give the La Flor de la Isabela cigar a try also.

 

As of a year ago, Tinder Box in Cebu had lot's of Cuban cigar's

 

There is a kiosk in Robinson Mall that sells Cuban cigars. Remember that the more you spend on a Cuban the more it is likely to be counterfeit. Stick the the lower end cigars and you will be fine.

Here is a tip to those who really know what a good Cuban cigar tastes like. Try the REAS or REATS cigars sold in many stores. The tobacco is from Cuba but rolled in Canada. They are long filled cigars. People who are really not familiar with a good smoke are put off by these cigars because they have a hole in the end of them. You do not have to cut them. The appear to be a very cheap cigar.

The proof is in the pudding. Try them and you will find the smoke very similar to a Monte Cristo! I have to Cuba many times and to the factories. A box of 5 cigars here will cost you around 170 pesos.
