well, their food is as much Italian as I am Black African. However, I was tempted to go there again after a loooong time, but just walking up from the boulevard passing their gate, made me change my mind in a split-second. There is still a rat 'n roach show going on each evening resulting from obviously bad hygienically conditions that the only order for me there would be a closed can or bottle to drink.

What a shame for an otherwise nice loocking place in a good location.

there are only 5 of us in my family so not reli large, it covered a lot of family talk all through the night and 2 bottles of beer grande to help finish off the 30" pizza. I probably added 3 pounds to my weight the following day but it was so worth it  Next pizza im going to try again is the Pizza Jalapeno Diablo at Moon cafe. Last time i tried it, i had runny nose and a headache so if you have a date, dont order it

I took Jane to El Dorado in Dauin last night for her birthday. What a fabulous experience we had! Nice beachfront atmosphere, great food, a varied menu, and incredible service. Yes, it is not a typo-Incredible Service! In fact, an amazing thing happened to us, something which has never happened before in the Philippines. Every time our water glasses reached empty, the waitress came by and replaced them with new iced water. We didn't even ask. In addition to that, the food all came out together-and it was hot! We enjoyed a nice meal & a couple of drinks and it cost around 600 pesos. We will return!

Another great experience tonight. This time at San Rival Bistro. I have been really bored with the same old food lately. (I used to like Adobo) Their menu has lots of interesting choices and the food was delicious. My only complaint is having to eat by myself as Jane and Jack had finished their meal by the time I was served. But hey, that goes with the territory.

    Full Mooned at Mooon Cafe

The gf, Wallet, trouser wearer of the house, decided last night was an anniversary of some sort. She had decided that we should go out for dinner, so of course i agreed (i had to). We stopped going to the Silliman Avenue Moon Cafe as the service stinks . . However decied to give it another go, thisgave us the option to go next door to Cafe Fresco if it was full. Needless to say in Mooon Cafe, we got a table no problem, I ordered the steak and an SML, she ordered the Beef Burrito, Sprite. After 15mins of waiting my steak arrived, the menu said, I quote 'served with butter vegtables'. 16 finger nail size vegetables, and watery mash potato pathetic ! . . I opted the peppercorn sauce, which was great, however would of tasted better if there had been pepper corn in it. I tucked into my Rare steak, even though i wasted it meduim rare but okies no problem. I finished my beer, beef, and licked the sauce from the plate. after 35mins, we still had not had our beef burito, so i signed for the bill. When it arrived needless to say we had been charged for Beef burito, and when i told them to remove it from the bill, there was som confusion, i could see waiters arguing, and coming to look at us through the window. . . . . Needless to say it was removed from the bill, like wise i will remove my custom from Siliman Mooon Cafe !!

    Highlands resort in Mabinay

It is a long ways to go, 2 1/2 hours by bus, but I had the best Filipino food there I have eaten. It is the Highland Resort in Mabinay. I am pretty sure I would not go there just for the food but if you were driving through the area then it certainly would be the place to eat. I has Chicken Adobe, and Port Afrika (spelling issue here) with rice and soft drinks for two for 285 pesos. I spent the night at the resort and stayed in a one bed room house, for 1500 Peso with tv and aircon. The second greatest part about the place is that I was the only one at the resort during a week night. It is basicly in a forest of Mahogany trees with many lakes. It was extremely quiet, no loud motorcycles, or Karaoke going on anywhere. For a somewhat primate resort escape I could certainly recommend this place. It apparently has been around for decades, and has become more primitive as time goes by. There is a rest old sign on the road, which would make you think you were going to a ghost town, but I am sure anyone in the general area could give you directions.

We have been eating up at bamboolo on the bacong-Valencia rd lately as not far to go, really good food and service and nice cold beer! I would recommend the beef tenderloin steak which comes with mash or fries, garlic butter and a small portion of veg.
There is also a nice pool out the back which is lit up at night, a great atmosphere!
