THANKS SteveB, for sending your mate around to my place. He is very good with M/C's, knows his stuff, fixed all I needed, and price was very good also, and he speaks very good English. I really appreciate the help. So very hard to find such a good guy. If any of you other members want a guy to work on your M/C contact SteveB for the contact details of his Mechanic mate.
Thanks for your comments. I will print this for Rudolf (I mis-spelled his name earlier). He did good work on my motorcycles also. His tune-ups were the best I have had since living in the Philippines. I hope he sticks around but he is planning to move to Singapore later this year.
When I bought my used XR from Bacolod, I noticed the inline fuel filter had been installed backwards...
Just got Rudolph back to do a full tune, and check etc. Very, very thorough job done. Bike running much better.
At least it was in the fuel line... That was so every bit of gasoline could be scavenged from the carburetor and returned to the fuel tank.
Update - Rudolph checked a vibration on my brand new M/C, today, that has done only 1800km, and found that the engine bolts were loose attached to the frame..................... also he checked the oil that was used in the 1000 km free service from the dealer, and found it was much to thin, wrong oil was used. He did an oil change, and fixed the vibration, and possibly saved me thousands in repairs down the track, because I doubt very much the dealer would admit to a warranty claim.............thanks heaps to SteveB, for introducing me to Rudolph...............any one who wants his contact details either PM me or SteveB...............also I believe we are not permitted to put up any negative remarks about Busineses here, so anyone who wants to know who the dealer is, please PM me for details.....................this list of problems with my brand new M/C is as follows:- tyres all flat on delivery, and to date the front tyre still loses air and I have to have it replaced, but I will not return to the dealer obviously.................too much oil was added to the engine during the first free service resulting in the air filter being clogged with oil, and Rudolph had to clean it and replace it...............and strip the carby and clean it..............and retune the bike................the lights were not set properly, and it was like possum hunting until he adjusted them properly.............wrong oil used..............engine bolts loose.................engine not running smoothly and had to be retuned..................?
Yep, that's the way it is many times and I advise any buyer of a new Bike to check it carefully before riding...
Can you email me this Rudolf's contact details? Have a Rouser 135 that I need tuning up. I think I don't have PM capabilities yet. i o n w e r x [at] gmail.com (remove spaces). Thanks!
