Wanted: Gas rotary lawn mower 18"-22". Generator also wanted, 5kw minimum, propane fuel preferred, diesel and gasoline considered. Please reply via PM. Salamat
Gas lawn mowers are available at Matiao. Cheap US brands, MTD made mostly. For the equivalent of a $150 mower at Walmart or Home Depot, plan on spending P13,000+. A propane fired generator is likely to be difficult to find. You may wind up with gas or diesel, or buy a gas and retrofit a propane injection kit to it. Most small engines do not stand up well to propane, due to valve guide design and quality among other issues. Some higher quality engines are designed with propane in mind, such as some Kohlers, Hondas, etc. Point being not just any gasoline engine will withstand propane well. Larry
Thanks for the info Larry. I know about the lawnmowers at O Matioa. Too pricey for what they are in my book. I'll buy/rent a baka, kanding, cabayao, karnero, first. I had several years of generator experience in the military of which ours and others lives depended on, not running, not starting was NOT an option. North Manitou Shoal Lighthouse, MI, after 3 years of search and rescue/Federal Boarding Officer, and what-not they sent me to this joint above for a year ! 10 Miles from land ! And no you couldn't just up and leave. And people in prison complain ? Try this joint, I got paid a whopping $240.00 a month back then in 1966. Loran Station, Light, Fog, minor rescue, artillery shell disposal, opps , we weren't supposed to do that. recreation facilities ? you have to be kidding. Keeping your sanity was exercise enough. lol Anyhow we had at various units where I was Station Engineer, Nordbergs, Hercules, GMC, Detroit Diesel, and one other I can't think of at the moment. Also at my last home in the U.S. I had two 12 KW auto-start propane generators which worked like a charm. I prefer propane but it may not be available in Dumaguete ? I'll check Cebu. Lights out time, see ya, Charlie
