This sounds more plausible, than than the SM at Claytown and more likely to happen, + the redevelopment of the Shakey's building so at least we have rumored movement lets hope it is not just Rumours!

No complaints from me, just observations. Sorry if I'm not wearing my rose colored glasses.

Anyone here denying that the fronts of the business on the boulevards are mainly delipidated? (yes, there's one or two exceptions) Anyone walk along the waterfront and not smell raw sewage?

The 'mill' also stated recently, that the old Shakey's and AJ's sites, (Annabel-Jean's(spelling? Sorry, never went there)), were bought by one of the Huellier pawnshop family, to make condos out of...but who knows.....or who even cares? I certainly don't.

Wow, why don't you move on to Cebu or Manila? If you don't like it on this forum, then it's entirely up to you. Don't start whinging about a favourite Philippine national pastime, that's obviously caught on with local foreigners.

So in your mind everything is Ok?

If no one complained nothing would get done. Not that it's going to get done anyway.

Can you show me where I said I thought everything is ok!

I accept the Philippines and Dumaguete for what they are. I love living in Dumaguete. I'm well aware of the problems and imperfections that exist here. When I am forced to deal with them I do. But unlike some of you I focus on the good things about living here. If something I don't like bothers me I get up off my @ss and do something about it while always keeping in mind that I'm a guest in this country and any influence I have will be limited.

When I lived in the U.S. I certainly didn't appreciate foreigners telling me what was wrong with my country.

Scott, your invitation to leave and move to either Cebu or Manila was maybe a bit heavy on some peoples mind and therefore the response you got is a bit aggressive. Else I agree with your statement and second it...
