I have had a very important package send from Australia through TNT it normally takes 4 to 5 days it is now 15 days since it was sent, TNT AU tells me they can’t do anything about what happens her in the Phills, I am at the point I want to strangle each and every TNT incompetent F---kin idiot I have phoned /emailed since wed 22 August, how hard is it to get a parcel out of Manila to Dumaguete, if I didn’t know better I would say it is deliberate.
Brian, doesn't TNT have an online tracking system like LBC, Fedex, etc, so you can track each movement?
I share your frustration as I have issues with the Philippines Postal Service. If I send stuff from here to UK it can get there in about 8 days. Anything sent from UK to here can take up to 2 months because it sits around in an office somewhere before anyone can be bothered to try and deliver it. I also get documents and various paperwork sent to me from UK and the envelope often has the name of the organisation sending it printed on it. If the words "finance" or "pension" appear on the envelope I find that it has frequently been opened and then re-sealed. Thankfully there are never any cheques in the mail but it seems to be a crude attempt to see if there is anything worth taking.
yes Pato it tracked it to manila tuesday 21 August, i have been trying my hardest to get out of manila, i have heard that LBC has it now its 2:45 the day is almost finished and still not here, TNT use LBC or JRS or both I think it depends which one is the cheapest on the day, it migh come in on LBC and go out on JRS
Hi Broadside, I know what you mean, my package is delivered at the door within 4 days even going through AU customs, and that is to a remote town, and my package is always opened, it is the same stuff each time, they xray it but the nosey pricks have to open it anyway, maybe like you said looking for something to knock off.
sounds like a perfect place for cheap online shopping via Ebay and Paypal.... A real paradise here, isn't it?? Livin' the dream baby :-)
Mine's better than your's. You can't touch this and you can't make this stuff up. Someone sent me a couple of my used old shirts by Fed Ex last week. The advanced civilized world uses Fed Ex as a matter of routine and those fortunate folks have no concept of the Philippines. I had to pick up the box at Fed Ex since my dog had put the driver on the hood of his truck during his last visit, and I was informed that customs had opened the box and placed a P6,000 duty on my used shirts. I guess it was pretty clear I was attempting to smuggle the shirts into the country. I imagine they saw the name on the address and decided a foreigner's tax was appropriate. It never ends....
who sends used old Tshirts via fedex? New ones at walmart are $6-$10. How much are two used ones worth and what did he pay to ship them with Fedex, no less. . Something sounds strange...
LOL strange? That's funny...sounds suspicious and maybe a conspiracy. Where did you get T shirts? These were old dress shirts and my point was professional people don't think twice about Fed Ex and expect the same treatment locally that they would find from the point of origin. I suppose the cultural difference got lost but the absurdity of paying P6,000 for the shirts after having opened the box is irritatingly consistent with being a foreigner in the Philippines.
if importing to avoid the foreigner tax you must only value your goods at $10.00 US, this will only atract a minimum fee of around P870all goods will be charged now, even if samples, since May this year i have noticed they have started applying duty or at least there minimum fee for the paperwork
