Looks like they have just been found by the rescue group suffering from hunger, cold and muscle cramps!

Sounds like a small price to pay just to get out of there. :-(

Let's hope for their safe return

Well, we got up there for free but we also were wise enough to go there during dry season, anybody going there now must be lacking some common sense as there is a lot of fog up there in this time of the year and you can easily get lost without much effort, and I am wondering if maybe the compasses in their "SMART" phones didn't work with out having any signal...

I was part of the group of 28 climbers who spent the weekend on Mt. Talinis. We are all safe and completed the trek without any mishaps. The trek was organized by the Cuernos de Negros Mountaineering club based in Siliman University. This is a club of very skilled mountaineers who treat the mountain very seriously.

There was only one other group on the mountain and they exited with us. We arrived at the exit trail head one hour ahead of schedule. There was no rescue group. I wonder how these crazy rumors get started?

How did you like it? I came home looking like a pig the first time as we went up the straight line up from Timbao in wet conditions and it was quite cold up there. I could imagine that it was very similar this last weekend...
