Local business owners suck.

I have been trying to get a forklift to download a 20ft container which is now only 5 tons for over four months in Dauin, it has been frustration after frustration lies after lies promise after promise, dealing with these local rich business owners is a real joke, I was quoted P50k from Jerry for a crane P35k for forklift from Rae, I was promised from Oceanic they would do the lift which they Quoted P15, then refused, after I already prepared the area where the container was to go.
Now, the total time for the lift would be no more than 1 hour 40minutes, you can do the maths pretty good profit margin.
I have asked Rae to sharpen his pencil now he refuses to do the lift maybe some Chinese pride kicking in or the Pinoy stupidity, this lift in Australia in pesos was P14k in Bacolod the lift is P10k so WTF is wrong with the Dumaguete business owners are they FU—ing stupid or what? They would rather not get a reasonable fee for a job and try to hold me to extortion.
I am soooo pissed off at this town with this sort of behaviour, wish I could return the favour.
All my belongings and furniture is in the hot container getting destroyed,
If I had the money I would buy a truck with a hiab start up a company then destroy these business men, then they could just look at their forklift rusting in their yard with no work.
Sorry to rant just can’t believe it here, I am in a apartment for 4 months without my furnature.

I think you started out using the wrong company, I am planning to move from AC to another place in the Philippines and I got quoted for a 10 foot container DOOR to DOOR (20 footers were around 75% higher in price)

30K Angeles - Tagbilaran
35K Angeles - Puerto Princesa
45K Angeles - Boracay
40K Angeles - Davao
17K Angeles - Baguio (similar to your distance)

This is door to door service by 2GO, they drop off a container here -I am supposed to fill it up, but the last 2 times I did it the 2GO guys looked like they enjoyed the Tetris game of filling the container and at arrival they were more than happy to help for a couple of hundred pesos each to unload it.

Compare that to a quote of P50K for lifting a container

No need for me to rent a forklift or a crane - they do all including transfer between A and B - next time go to a reputable company and get the job done the easy way

You might even get 2GO to move it from where ever it is now, to your front door for a few thousand

 

nup been there, they are the ones that use Jerry who quoted p50k for the crane, i have the lift organised in Bacolod the transport from Bacolod but where the arse drops out is here in Duma. this is my own container and want to store stuff in it, the problem is getting it to the ground

 

when you say they drop off a container you mean still on a trailer? not on the ground?

 

As far as I recall they have the thing on the trailer still, but even our VERY heavy objects like a large chest freezer full of all our kitchen stuff like plates and the likes was hauled on and off without any major issues.

I am going to be making the move from AC to dumaguete next year as currently in another country,, wonder if if the price for dumaguete is around the same for tagbiliran?

I believe i have seen some where you had a blog a long time ago where you moved to dumaguete, i guess you dont fancy going back there then?
