    hello

I moved to the Philippines and I took the opportunity to give a hand to my neighbors who are very poor but would like to offer the Internet to their enfants.I* got internet access thanks to wireless broadband smartbro. A central transmitter radiates a perimeter within which are located the receiving antenna including mine. My antenna is connected to my PC via a modem motorola PSA15R_295. If I could install my linksys router WAG354G my neighbors would have a wifi connection. My efforts to do so have been unsuccessful so far. being an amateur I n can not control the system. A charitable soul can she give me the solution?

    thank you in advance

    bob

It has been a few years since this was current info, but with Smartbro broadband I could get my linksys router to connect, but in a short while it would disconnect and I would have to reset the DNS entry to get it to connect again. Smart techs and customer service both told me it was because they did not allow a router to be used on their system, they of course wanted to sell another account to be able to run my laptop. One account, one computer. I have since switched to Globe, which allows a router, and when it works, it works good.

if you have a mac and your connected to the internet you can share your internet. just plug your router into your ethernet connection on the computer go into preferences and turn on internet sharing. I don't know PCs but maybe they have something similiar

    hi

Thx for responding so fast; I have a PC under windows 7. A small modem motorola connected in an electric plug on the wall is bounded with the wire coming from the antenna and the enter the ethernet . If I connect the router linksys I need an adapter rj45/11 since the linksys line entry is a rj11. But I dont know how to configure the router !

turn on your computer open a web browser like foxfire or internet exployer. in the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 do not put in Http or www. once you put that in the address bar hit enter and that should let you in to program the router anyway you want. I programmed one of my routers to a proxie service I have and now watch netflix everyday

the ip add of smartbro modem and your personal router got the same ip add which is 192.168.1.1 it wont connect coz of the conflic ip add issues...just simply change the ip add of your personal router to 192.168.1.3 save it then restart everything surely it will connect.
