    G'day all

What i want to know...., is....., what sporting options do us Forrinjers have available in Dumaguete?

Guess there are some golf courses (i hope).

Of course there is Basketball. Which is ok for the Yanks.

But what about us CommonWealth expats?

Is there the possibility of playing Cricket or Soccer?

Surely there are enough P.O.M.s and Aussies in Dumaguete for an "Ashes" competition

If we needed more players, i am sure that other expats and Pinoys could learn the skills of the finer sports

    .

I think you will not find many that will participate more than once or twice in anything that requires physical activity outside of an AC gym or going to the ref.

    Hope I'm wrong.

Cricket is the best possibility you can never play in the philippines. Philippines don't have this sport.

Bacong has a tennis court just opposite police station, and it's for hire for a very small fee.

PrensBana, have you been here and checked out the majority of your Commonwealth colleagues? You would probably have to draft your teams from the boulevard bars and the age, weight, and high percent over the .8 alcohol reading and could lead to an overcrowding at St. Peters if you get those "athletes" out in this hot humid weather.
Fyi, in Makati a sports bar called Heckel and Jeckel supports the national soccer and rugby teams, no cricket though.

Wrong... Nicolas Colsaerts only won one and lost three, only then he won with Lee Westwood, 4 ball match. Woods and stricker
The German won it for Europe "M kamer" all though it was a team effort !

While golf is not so popular in Belgium, only the winning game of Colsaerts came in the media.
That's why i was thinking we won the game.
But we are good in beer drinking as well.
