    Unfortunately, flying over the holidays is the most expensive time to fly, not just to Manila, but almost anywhere.

    Not sure of the cost comparison of the following two alternatives but the fastest way to go SFO to Manila is by Philippines Airlines' direct flights. As an alternative and a way to break up the long flight is go Hawaiian Air from SFO to Honolulu to Manila. Have a safe journey.
