    Hope everyone is ok there

Bad bad storm. My wifes family is in Iligan and CDO. I hope she can talk to them soon. What is pushing these storms south? ALways I've seen go north. So rare but two years in a row.

I am sitting up in Baguio, and the wind is picking up a bit here now... I got the last message from Rhoody 3 hours ago...

Some trees on the boulevard are down, one landed on a driving car... (why would anybody wanna drive in that typhoon?)

Roofing material has of course been seen flying around.

Massive waves in Dauin, flooding up to 50-100 meter up from the shore. Mike from Mike's resort said this is much worse than Sendong last year.

The Pier is flooded in Dumaguete city.

No messages from Rhoody the last 3 hours which is quite worrisome... I hope everybody is ok there...

Yeah. I still can't contact my wife (in southern Dumaguete) by any means, electric & internet & phone are out. Hope they and everyone are OK, and that utilities are restored soon... Can't find any reports on the news about damage in Dumaguete except Dane's above. Are there none yet...?

Got more messages in from Rhoody.

    Still no power.

It was surprisingly quiet after the eye of the storm passed, almost no wind on the backside.

Delta 1 ferry sank, with captain and crew - no news if they made it out.

Most damage in Barangay Looc and Tinago.

    No reports of casualties yet.

More wind damage in city than water damage. Some big trees are down blocking some streets.

It looks at first glance like Dumaguete was really lucky, can't say anything about further south or north yet.

Haven't heard of any news on casualties in Dumaguete on the news yet. Sendong dumped much much more water than this one. Winds were a bit higher but nothing much more than a bad thunderstorm in the US.....at least in Valencia.

Power out, water is a trickle and cable is out in my part of Valencia. Dumaguete still under a brown out but I didn't see much damage in the city.

There are a lot of trees and power poles down in Sibulan the road to our house is barely passable. I am running on generator to keep the ref, fans, phone chargers and computer going. We are happy that to damage was this mild after all the build up for this one.
