So what point are you trying to make? Are you saying you need to spend more than 3000p here to get other than a "crap" helmet? Have you looked at the good Spyder helmets? What is your recommendation Larry?

If you import a good Spyder helmet, it's not legal Because you can't get an ICC sticker any more for P50. You have to buy a cheap piece of crap with the sticker to be legal. If you crash you will be dead but legal.

My decades old HJC helmet was instantly approved the last week in Dec, and no charge for the sticker.

My wife's DOT helmet was also approved at the same time.

Are you saying helmets from abroad are no longer being approved?

Eidit: I read the previous page and got my answer

Personally I still beleive that proper driver education, testing, and enforcement of basic driving laws and courtesy would do far more to reduce injuries and death than helmets. But what are the odds of that happening ? That would be too simple and make too much sense. Plus how could the helmet manufacturers, distributors, and retailors make billions of peso's off something that in a few weeks will just be left laying around somewhere. Wearing one should be a personal choice in my opinion. there is still too much controversy as how much good they do. A one degree F raise in brain temperature reduces the ability to make rational decisions by up to 50%, and how hot is it inside that brain bucket ? Also I think the mentality with a lot of riders is , "oh I have a helmet on, so I am safe now and I can drive twice as fast and cut-off twice as many people". Hardly anyone looked before pulling out into traffic before, and in my opinion it is worse now. I used to find helmets would also limit my peripheral vision and hearing. They had a helamt law for a short while where I am originally from but they soon repealed it.
I am trying to think of a market for all those millions of used helmets that will soon be just collecting dust either because the law is repealled, or simply not enforced. Along with driver education, the only one passenger law should be enforced and no children under 16 as passengers. And enforcement of current laws.
O.K., I am awake from my sleep walking dream now.
    Have a great day.

I bought a bike while in Dumaquete last month and enjoyed riding around without helmet . I hope this law gets thrown out by the time I return . I will buy myself a jeep to cruise around in if not . Hopefully there won't be a law for helmets to be worn while driving automobile by then .O-|
