Hi elcanuk. Can you find out from your good lady if she knows of any other orphans with no family ?
I would also like to find a baggage free deal for my future adventures. Take care.

Good one FF, I know it was in jest, but the way to avoid family baggage is to move with her to another city or town, far away from relatives, and only visit once, whenever................. lol ................... and of course, tell them all how very poor you are.

only coming for a month this time around. so, why not have a gal willing to show me around and have my own tour guide to show me a good time on my fact finding mission. she knows the deal if it doesn't work out. as far as my $200 investment, the greater percent was a ticket for her to meet me in manilla and return to cebu. yes, that would be much for a third world rez. over a 2 month period i was given proof of receipt not by request, so i feel somewhat secure it went where it was intended. however, i feel i am defending my actions and i thank you for the input. i believe the buck wil stop here though until i arrive and am able to discern for myself.
so, any thoughts on destinations i may be interested in visiting for a future home? dumeguete, is that a touristy, area, or could i find a quiet slow moving lifestyle there?

Go for it mate, yes indeed, having a lovely lady as a tour guide, with no strings attached, is a good way to go.

There are 7,000 islands here making up the Philippines, and Dumaguete City is only a small part of that, and I would suggest not exactly the best part either............... lol ................ tour around and you will find some place that suits you I am sure.

Moving them does nothing. Cellphones make staying I am a touch very easy. If they are going to get you for money it doesn't matter where you move them in the world, they'll get it. Mama will still need her prescriptions and hospital visits regardless of where you live.

Best thing to do is just set a monthly limit for the family. This depends on your financial capabilities.

choice! yes, i did meet her on the net. i obviously gave the ones in revealing clothing a miss and the ones with multiple kids, though i like children, just not in future plans. she met the criteria. i heard you need to budget for family, so no family.........no added expense. she has family, but parted for valid reasons years ago and has had no contact for years apparently. her join date was within a day of mine and she uses her real name. i feel all is well and to be sure, no more investments until i arrive.

    no idea why...

this forum keeps sending me emails in reply to posts I never made? my guess is someone replied to my post on another topic confusing me with some other thread.

OK...I'll play...you are in Central America....My daughter in law is from Paraguay....I have friends with Mexican, Colombian, Brazilian, and Costa Rican wives...Beautiful women and great wives.....Have you gone blind or had a recent lobotomy? Stay where you are and enjoy what is there - would be my advice...I have other friends living in Nicaraugua - and loving it.....Haven't read this thread entirely.....but having difficulty with envisioning your love in the Philippines compared to what is around you now...
