    Later this month, Airphil Express will stop flying 2 International routes from Clark to Singapore and another from Clark to Hong Kong.
    Last year I was on a flight from Hong Kong to Cebu with hardly 30 passengers, so I guess that more International flights from this airline will be cancelled in the future.
    Does Airphil Express not understand that people on International flights don’t want to pay more for 10 kg extra luggage (from 10 kg standard included to a normal 20 kg) than the price of the ticket?
    A one way ticket from the Philippines to Hong Kong or v.v. is around 3,000 pesos (sometimes cheaper, sometimes more) including 10 kg luggage.
    If you fly with 20 kg, the total will be 7,000 pesos and like it or not, than Cebu Pacific is way cheaper.

    Cebu Pacific has suddenly canceled its midday flights from Dumaguete to Manila "until further notice" -- I had one booked for the 21st, with a connecting international flight, and 10 days in advance they simply informed me by email that my domestic flight was canceled, too bad. I found that pretty outrageous for poor customer service, but perhaps par-for-the-course for CP. By riding all the way out to the airport to get to their office, i was able to reserve a seat on the morning flight that day, which means I will make my international flight but only after spending eight useless hours in NAIA... {grumble}

    I have purchased over thirty Cebu Pacific tickets over the last 5 years; mostly with seat sale prices. I have rarely had problems (except the ones I caused myself). Of course, when you are paying $20 or $30 for a ticket, you cannot expect VIP service, but I am happy to take a flying bus to my destination, and spend the money I saved in a way that suits me. If you want to complain about airlines, try flying Air Canada or Delta or American Airlines; besides NO service, you can complain to the fat, old, ugly, rude, unionized flight attendants about your problems! I have heard the same about British Airways and Luftansa. When booking with Cebu Pacific, just keep your eyes open on the website. Everything is shown, step by step and you can back out at any time.

    I agree Steve, we fly domestically 5-8 times per year. CP is our preferred domestic airline, we have never had a problem with them.

    Well, i'm glad that some are happy with CP as loyal customers. I'm just cranky because having 3 bad customer service experiences in a row with them.

    On my flight in from Manila a month ago, i was 5 min from reuniting with my wife & kid -- but there was heavy localized cloud/fog/rain at the airport, and at the last minute of approach the plane pulled back up and out! Flew 15 min over to land at Cebu airport. Sat there 2 hours on plane, but Dum didn't clear-up. Couldn't deplane to take bus or ferry to Dum, or stay in hotel, because the huge annual Cebu Santo Nino Procession Festival was going on, city jammed with 4 million people, no rooms and all streets blocked! So they flew us back to cesspit Manila, then abandoned us -- not responsible, they said, because it was act-of-god weather.

    Exhausted and with no phone, i had to hustle up a hotel room and meals by myself. Made it back to airport by 8:30 to catch the replacement-flight they did provide at 10. Flew down, weather fine this time; reading all the way with glasses off & set aside -- but when we landed, my glasses were gone! Searched everywhere around my seat, got crew to help, but specs could NOT be found. Only answer, somebody must've stolen them -- how utterly bizarre, who would DO that??? Fairly cheap ones, a decade old, of no value... but i'm near-helpless without 'em, wasn't carrying spare. Wow, what a tough unexpected unwelcome adventure!

    Then they cancel my return flight, ignoring the int'l connection. THEN when there at their office spending an hour sorting that out, we try to buy wife's next tickets -- and although its months in advance, she refuses to check for the promo or other discount fares, say she can or will only sell tix at full-fare prices. Inexplicable and unpleasant...

    CP, besides being almost always late, has been a good airline for me. I really hate their "excess baggage" fees, bit I guess they have to make money somehow on their otherwise low fares. They have been extremely helpful when I have arrived blitzed after a very long flight into Manila. I do wish I could advertise something for 88 pesos, or even less, and have it end up costing over 3000p and get away with it though. So far the good has overwhelmed the bad.

    And on October 1 Pal Express (former Airphil Express) will reduce the number of flights between Dumaguete and Manila to
    11 a week.

    Ive been in Philippines for 2 years now

    Philippines is nothing but greedy money hungry people who will rip off anyone and everyone. Airlines, government, etc. Airlines will charge you for fuel haha, seat ahha bastards. Even families will rip each other off for money even kill each other for some pesos. Some peso is worth more than your mother life. Lol you can kill someone and pay police but this goes for all of south east asia but for a philippines a 3rd world country to make things more expensive than western countries is stupid. Stay away ive learned enough and getting out of here

    So I guess you have taken the advice of, "if you don't like it leave"? The Philippines is not for everyone. Not sure what you expected out of a 3rd world country. The 3rd world is usually just that because of the people and culture living in it. (as much as they'd like to blame someone else.)
