    I was told by the BOI (10-2012) the tourist ACR-I card is expired when you leave the country. So whatever you do you won't have a valid one. Maybe it changed.

    The paragraph you have above is for non-visa-required alien who get granted a tourist visa until he/she sorts out his stuff. You were for my understanding always a tourist and never a Non-visa-required alien

    Concerning the ACR card. The last time I left the country (and six months late on extending, so no new card from the last time I left) they told me the card was good for one year after it was issued and did not make me pay for a new one (they just checked the cards expiration date on the back). I know the law reads that it expires when you leave but some seem to overlook that. No extra tip was given to the girl in the dumaguete office.

    ok so i got my answer straight from the BI

    this is for anyone else in my position

    this came about because with chinese visa regulations i did'nt/was'nt going to fly home to process a working visa for China, so I mentioned that I wold be putting the asawa ug bata ang bisa

    they chinese here told me just give us your acr card and marraige cert and that was the last piece of the puzzle

    but the card was expired (even though the fine peolple at the chinese consulate in cebu) would accept it , the bureau in china wanted the card to be current (thats where all the drama began)

    so started the hunt for a acr card

    now found out that because i have no visa status, no renewal can take place because in theory i should surrender it when i left first time, and because i wasnt asked for it, i did'nt know any better

    but this is the official response ( but undertsand this response goes against everything the dgte field office told me)

    Dear Sir:

    Please be informed that ACR I-card for temporary visitors is valid for one (1) year and it is non-renewable. You may just apply for another one upon return in the Philippines. If you will stay in the Philippines for less than 59 days as a tourist and would like to apply for ACR I-card, you may voluntarily apply for it. Hence, if you are staying more than 59 days in the Philippines , it is mandatory for you to apply for ACR I-Card.

    For voluntary application, below are the requirements and fees.

    Duly filled-up application form (you can get this form at the Bureau);
    Duly notarized letter request to the Commissioner through the Chief of the Alien Registration Division (ARD);
    Photocopy of the data page of passport; and
    Photocopy of the page of the passport containing the applicant’s latest arrival.

    ACR I-card US $ 50.00 (peso equivalent)

    Express Lane Fee Php 500.00

    We have coordinated with BI-Dumaguete Field Office and they told us that you may apply for ACR I-card at their office. Provided below is their address and telephone number.

    now to finish who is this guy

    the Chief of the Alien Registration Division (ARD) , where does one find him if there is a fire

    salamat kaayo sa tanan para imo mangutana
