Many host people have no respect for their guests as well. Goes both ways. I have met some wonderfully nice and hospitable people here, I've also met some terrible people. I've paid more taxes to their country than many of those terrible people will in 10 lifetimes. I have a right to complain about them.

Really? 7,000 seats inside that bldg. Wow! Lol! Hmmm... English? Well, there are few who really know how its supposed to be pronounced but a lot didn't. Maybe its because during their school days they just believe and listened to their English teachers with out researching if it was pronounced correctly or aint no errors when writing it. Fortunately, People here defend themselves, its okay..that's what you called "Filipino English". Try to talk to any Tagalog guys how they pronounce this words " tricycle", "uncle", "bicycle" etc and you know what I mean for so called "Filipino English"

Everbody should have the right to complain if they feel abused, but there is no need to be insulting.
As for the ability to speak a second language that is to be applauded

If they are working 3 shifts it would take alot fewer seats, add in days off, even fewer because I presume that a call center would be a 24 hour a day operation.

Good point, but what exactly is the "local Language" here? Visayan, Cebuano, Illongo, Tagolog, or one of the other 90 some odd dialects that are spoken in the Philippines? If one learns one dialect it does them no good if they go to the next island over and want to get into a detailed conversation.

    Newbie27,
Why are you talking to "Tagalog guys" when you are in Negros oriental and most locals speak the Cebuano dialect? Perhaps that's one of your 'issues'??
As another member posted - what did you say about foreigners not speaking your native language in Your country of origin?
The burden is upon YOU, friend, to try to adapt and learn to speak the local language: it's their country, you are the visitor.

... which is by law English and Filipino (90% Tagalog). since 1987

Most of us speak one of their TWO (not 100) official language way better than THEY do.
