If you are in serious medical trouble, be prepared to pay 30,000 Pesos a day in intensive care, or 10.000 pesos a day in a room of 5 when you bring your own nurse, friend, relative or whoever who will take care of you in a Dumaguete hospital. Get kilo's of medicine and hope one of them will work Perhaps Bacolod is the same. For "best" hospital you don't have to be in Negros or the Philippines.
Ok, so the best Hospital is neither in Bacalod or Dumaguete, so where is the NEAREST best hospital to foreigners standard ? I have heard there is a good Hospital in Cebu ? Anyone care to comment on that ? I think the guy who started this thread would appreciate that advice And me too, when I am old and decrepit..............which could be sooner than later.............. lol ............:D
In the nearest foreign country.... In case by foreigners standard you mean 1st world standard then the answer is in the nearest 1st world country e.g. Singapore.
Ok, so we have established that Dumaguete and Bacalod are not the go. Well, Cebu and Manila and Singapore have been mentioned, BUT, there has been no mention of any particular Hospital ? Can the 3 wise men give specific details and names of the Hospitals that they recommend ? and not just generalities of Geography ? Or is that asking too much ?................ I am not ready for it yet, but there is another guy who started this thread who may appreciate the information NOW ? Thanks guys.
Certainly, Sir. No bother at all. However, since different hospitals specialize in different fields you may want to take the specific medical condition into consideration. On a general note I can recommend KKH in Singapore for kids. They have resident doctors but also use visiting consultants i.e. specialists from other hospitals. NUH in Singapore also seems like a good hospital (for adults). Of course that might not matter much in a life-or-dead medical situation in Duma. However, if you are able to make it to Manila - again on a general note - I can somewhat recommend St. Lukes, and possible Makati Med on a stretch. In Cebu I believe expats use a hospital called Chu something but that's the only thing I know about Cebu medicare.
For Cebu choose between Chong Hua and Cebu Doctors hospital. Both are within walking distance of Fuente circle.
best to go is in cebu,chung-hua hospital been there for more than a year for my treatment of cancer,7 years ago.also in st.lukes medical center in manila...
What is the best hospital in dumaguete? what about bacolod? I know about chong hua in cebu and st lukes in manila, i'm specifically looking for info about negros hosptials
