    The UN had been largely useless since it's conception. There were many countries that took part in the Iraq invasion/occupation, they didn't go in on that alone. The Big 4 (UK, Australia, US, Canada....previously the big 5 with New Zealand but they were nanny peace activists) are the REAL UN. They will hardly ever go against each other (maybe publicly but never behind government doors). The rest of the UN members almost all have an almost nonexistent military budget and really don't matter.
