    I agree with wrye83, dont make it too obvious that your a good catch for the women here cause some might just be after your money so dont say much unless youve finally get to know her anyways, welcome to philippines and hope your having fun :-)

    I agree with Redhorse but might turn it around. If a woman seems overtly friendly in the Philippines you might want to avoid her and run back to the shy ones.

    Thank you for the welcome, and thank you both for the advice. The joke may be on them if they think I have money. I am just graduating, and have not even received a paycheck yet, but I have bundles of debt. I won't even be making really good money until 5 years from now. But, point taken, I am not trying to attract gold diggers, I want a sweetheart who enjoys me.

    The perception of having money is just as dangerous as actually having it, and perhaps a bit more dangerous than having money. You won't be able to pay your way out of any trouble a few of the bad apples could get you in.

    Based on my experience you run a small chance of having any problems as I've never had one try that stuff on me but you still should take precautions just to be safe. You don't want to be that guy.
