Guys, being semi retired and all now I love sitting on my porch, drinking beer with the family however the frequent trips to the Sari Sari store to grab a few litros of Red-Horse have been adding up financially.. Lol.O-| Is there a decent beer that I can buy in a larger quantity, like a half barrel or quarter barrel for a cheaper price?? If so where? Thanks guys

Lol You must drink a LOT of beer for it to become a financial burden here. But to each their own, it's your body. If you are looking for a keg try finding the San Miguel distribution office. I know Edelweiss carries SML on tap, has to be possible to get it from somewhere. (they charge the same price as a bottle so I'm not sure it is any cheaper)

You can also arrange something with a liquor store where they will give you cases of beer, deliver and pickup at a discounted price (at least cheaper than a sarisari store). I know Big Boy Liquor will do this. They are located on the highway past robinsons going to Bacong. About 1.5km on the left hand side.

Thanks for the post, not so much myself as it is my overgenerousity towards sharing with the family and friends (yes i know its my fault, etc etc) - but regardless I will try your suggestions and appreciate the informative info.

Hey, nothing wrong with being generous to the family and friends. Would be more worried if the keg was only for yourself. :dnr:

LOL, one of my concerns for retirement myself. I too "I love sitting on my porch, drinking beer with the family", but for every beer I drink I pay for 4!

The only good use I found for a 55 ltr beer keg was to cut it in half length ways, hinge it and hey presto it’s the best stainless steel BBQ you will ever have, can change between gas or fossil fuel. I have a spit roaster in mine & volcanic rock.
