0 out of 10 for fox news trying to link gun debate to the incident and using it to further their anti-muslim agenda (even though they are owned by a muslim). 0 out of 10 for CNN being reluctant to call it terrorism until the white house said it was such, furthering their liberal agenda. 10 out of 10 for BBC just telling the story how it was and not sensationalizing it. Not the time or place for it. Shameful reporting by US news agency, will only get worse from this point. Embarrassing that people are chanting "USA". I really hate nationalism, ask the Germans how that worked for them.

Boo for 5 second time delays. I'm not a child, if some gets their head blown off I wanna see it. I watched for hours waiting for the kid to take one to the head, I deserve a live feed.

 

Of course there is. I say the older brother received training in Russia on his last visit. Came back and converted his younger brother. There is likely someone financing them or giving some sort of support training/ideas. Likely a local religious leader with contacts to the middle east.

Just speculation though.

 

Makes it a bit hard to capture them alive when they are shooting and throwing grenades at police. Maybe the police should throw puppies at them and they'll stop fighting.

Evil? No. Crazy? Yes. Terrorism stems from lack of education and poverty in most cases. So, when they solve world hunger and poverty terrorism will take a huge hit. That's unlikely to happen any time soon.

 

Stupidity IS a lack of education. Religious indoctrination is much easier when the person is illiterate and is unable to interpret religious text on their own.

There are intelligent people who are in terrorist organizations. However, you don't see those people blowing themselves up. They are behind the scenes and rely on the ignorant to do their dirty work. When an Afghan makes, on average, 700 USD year and lives a horrible life, a promise of several thousand dollars to their family and a wonderful life in heaven if they become a martyr it becomes rather hard to turn down.

For some the monetary gain is not an issue but the religious aspect is so important to them that they do it simply on their religious beliefs.

 

The Bible is just as violent and sexist/racist/extreme as the Koran. Unfortunately the Muslim world is not nearly as educated as the Christian world. Back in the day the Christians used the text of the bible to control the lives of people just as the Muslims do today. Education is key to turning down the volume on the extremist leaders. This is why the smart folks in the terrorist organizations regularly order schools built by the west in their country/region to be destroyed and children beaten killed for attending. The biggest fear for terrorist organization leaders is an educated population.
