Everybody has the right to complain tommy,It is just ignorant to inflict this din on other people.
I find however that this is a common problem in 3rd world countries , I lived in Africa for a while & it was the same there.
OK so I will just wait for the , well if you don't like it brigade to start.....

I have to agree with you. I don't think it's right to blame the Spanish. To play amature anthropologist I would say that poverty is the culpret. You must exist/matter if you are making a big noise.

We had the same experience a few days ago, just asked for lowering the volume but they took offense and killed it. It was far too loud to have any conversation.

It's fairly obvious as there are no loudspeakers in the kitchen and counter area but the ones who enjoy on music are the workers and they control the volume.

Getting back to the original post, it is best to avoid places like Ocean 24, Sea Forest, Forrest Camp, Pulangbato Falls etc. on weekends all together. Try going to Ocean 24 in the evening, during the week (Monday to Thursday). We go there often, either as a family or with a group. The place is open until 10pm (11pm if you are nice to the workers) and often, we are alone or with only one or two other groups. You can bring your own food and drinks, use their barbeque pits, and you can try bringing your own music on USB and have them play it for you (if you are polite and have the other visitors agree with your choice of music and volume). I have found that the staff are actually very accommodating if you speak to them nicely and it is more pleasant to relax in the hot spring, fed pools in the evening anyway!

No one is "blaming" the Spanish. It was observed as somewhat of a cultural trait that a lot of hispanic cultures have in common. It has nothing to do with being rich or poor either. Noise has no monetary bounds. I've noticed "rich" people (at least in the U.S. and Mexico) of hispanic heritage often make just as much noise and can be just as inconsiderate as poor people. Again, I'm not picking on a particular race or culture. It's just an accurate observation.

I can speak of The British as I'm a Brit, some of the younger ones are noisy and rude, cars thundering down the highway with loud sh*t noise.
Even the rich and poor. Never heard that in the rest of Europe.
Wonder if Thailand have these noisy buggers lol

Mart One did not survive, and the guards that used to stand there all day suffering that assault on the ears now probably have to lip read.
