The fund now stands at over 16000 pesos, thanks to recent donations from a generous Dutchman and two anonymous donors. Today, Rechel and Daisy have gone shopping with 10,000, for school supplies. Once we know what it will buy, we will be better able to see how far the money will go and allocate the funds in a type of priority. We are still short of the target, but there is another month or so to go. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far.

Thanks for your kind offer of help. The more the merrier ! The help at the school (Brigada Eskwala) will probably be in the last week of May, although we will get confirmation of this from the principal.

........ and while meandering along the boulevard last night, stumbling gracefully in and out of various establishments, I picked up another 2000 pesos for the kids. Many thanks and that brings us to almost 20,000p.

Thursday Club Members, DI, and Donors.
Thank you so much for supporting our Project Kid Start.
150 kids will be happy and excited to go back to school without worrying of they don't have school material.

150 kids will stay longer at the school, learn, enjoy the day, and safe, instead of playing around the damp site.
For this project we hope more Kids are into school, and enjoy their time being kid and not working at the damp site to earn money and trying to help their parents.

Thursday Club members decide to Bring the Help of our Donors (the school Supplies) to this 150 kids with the help of The teachers, on May 24, 2013 Friday @8:00 in the Morning.
If any of you want to join us and make the school stage painted, fix some water pipe, some doors.. ect.
and give smile to the Kids seeing their school Clean and Ready for them.

as Thursday Club say "Put the Smile on the Kids Faces"
Some picture of First Shopping is here: First Shopping for Kid Start

Paint, brushes, rollers, faucets, etc. all now bought, and all within budget (but only just). The priority was to get the school supplies for the poorest kids. These will be delivered to the school on Friday morning. The balance of the money has been used for stuff to freshen the place up. I was there on Monday, and many parents have already done a lot of work. Our task is to paint the stage area, faucet area, and the cr's if there is enough paint. Also change the faucets and fix the leaks, and paint the lines for a volley ball court. There is nothing structural to do, just make what is there to look better. I will take my pressure washer to quickly clean areas before they are painted.

Rechel plans to be there at 8 a.m. on Friday 24th with the school supplies. I'd forgotten that there were two 8 o'clocks in a day !!! So I reckon I will be there with the paint etc. by about 8.30. If anyone wants to help, and I hope that some do, just turn up any time and lend a hand. Doesn't have to be at death o'clock. Any help, for however short or long a time, is very welcome.

Hopefully see some of you on Friday morning. Cheers

    Roger

Just Continue Up and still in your right side, you will see the Candau-ay Elementary School.

From your neck of the woods, come down the hill from Valencia on the Palinpinon road. Palinpinon school will be on your left. Keep going along the dug up road (they are relaying one side at a time) and the next school you come to on the left is Candau-ay.
