    1. No credit from Smart, tho they owe for a month paid with no service. Their customer service team is "looking into it"! The credit I got, twice now was from Globe for service interruption in the 2 big storms last 2 years.
    2.We have the 2MB + landline service at P1,299.
    3. It would be nice to have TV and high speed internet on one bill, maybe we'll get cable here someday. I see the cable trucks all around in town so they appear to be doing something other than basic installations.

How to Meter Your Internet Usage | PCMag.com

This is a link to PC magazine and an article on internet providers and their bandwidth limiting policies. The important part are the links provided to freeware and software for purchase that will allow the user to know how much they are using and warn you when you are nearing set limits. Could be very helpful. I do not understand how a company can provide a service, put a limit on it and not have a way for the customer to know. Kind of like buying a car that has no gas gauge. Just run till it stops, sounds great, right? What if you are in the middle of some important download/upload and it just stops? That is not acceptable.

This Fair Use Policy has actually been implemented by both telcos (Globe and PLDT/Smart/Sun) (as early as 2009 if I recall)... its actually indicated in one of the items in the service agreement that you sign, right at the back... They did this to discourage P2P downloaders who are apparently hogging the network... as per the telcos, 20% of customers are hogging 80% of the available bandwidth for P2P downloading... hence the Fair Use Policy... I'm not sure though if Globe is strictly imposing this. I have a postpaid Tattoo stick and I usually go beyond 1.5gb per day and no noticeable change in speed (throttled down)...
