Would be awesome if local businesses or the government would provide some shaded parking for motorcycles throughout town. Nothing worse than parking a bike in the sun and almost blistering your @ss/hands when you come back to your bike. Charge 5-10 pesos/hour for shaded parking. Another thing that drives me nuts with motorcycle parking, usually done at small businesses where no visible motorcycle parking exists, is when you find an open spot, and only after you have turned your bike off and gotten off does the guard come tell you that motorcycle parking is in the back/around the corner/around the block. All the while the guard watched you back in your 200kg sports bike into the spot. That absolutely drives me nuts, usually I just ignore the guard if they don't tell me before I get off the bike if they've been watching me. Seems arrogant to them but what they do is just as rude and ignorant.
Hi mate, my last visit to Dumaguete a few months ago, i noticed the locals offering portable shade for motobikes, for a few peso they throw a peice of cardboard over your bike,,,instant shade.
Yeah, but rarely is that cardboard large enough to cover the tank and handlebars. Also, those same guys have tried to spin my 200kg sports bike on the kickstand. I tell them I'll give them 5 pesos only if they don't touch the bike.
Why not walk up at the municipality and talk to the mayor or whoever is incharge and tell them your inputs. Can make good profit for the government because if it happens, you have to pay. They wont do anything unless they can make money :-)
You can probably do that but you have to ask the people in charge of the streets where you plan on putting tents up. If your gonna make money, sure they will want their share. Lol.
Soon as you put up a tent you can garantee 6 locals with whistles direction traffic into and around tent hahahah
If it was close by a building a large retractable awning might work out better, as it can easily be rolled up at the end of a day or when a typhoon blows through.
I thought you had a 100kg scooter as well, why do you use your Sports Bike (not much use for that here anyway, besides attracting Girls, it's main purpose most likely), is your SB coloured Black? If so, I saw you driving past my place on a rough road, your suspension seemed rather hard...
Have a couple bikes. I enjoy riding the SB because I enjoy SBs. It really isn't needed to attract girls and many of them are scared off by it. I don't recall going down any rough roads on the bike lately. It is black though. The suspension isn't nearly as hard on the back as the scooters.
