Hi all  Any good suggestions on wedding venues for an intimate wedding reception? Somewhere nice and sophisticated preferably. Also does anyone know of any bridal car rental businesses in Dumaguete? Thanks all!

Hi, we had a great wedding reception at Casablanca Restaurant, the first one Gunther put on. We had about 60 people. We had our wedding party at Atmosphere Resort. Both venues were perfect. Let me know if you would like more details, and good luck to you.

Hi Pato! Thanks so much for responding. I'm gonna check out the websites of those places. Did they charge per head? Did they decorate the place themselves?

I'd prefer an indoor reception as I'm planning the wedding in August and I think that's the rainy season. Anyway, how did you go with transport? Is there a bridal car rental business in Duma? Sorry to bombard with all these questions.

bummer. Atmosphere doesn't do weddings at all.

Thanks for that suggestion, Charlie

OG, we actually had our wedding ceremony two days before the reception because the Dumaguete Mayor was going to be out of town on our reception date and we had friends flying in from out of town and could not change the reception date. Casablanca decorated the restaurant beautifully and catered the food, plus we had a lechon baby added. We negotiated a price-per-person. Additionally, we hired a good three person band, photographer, and videographer (we have the DVD if you would like to see it). We hired a driver with a van that we used a lot. He took us back and forth from home to airport to pick up friends, and to Atmophere then to the reception the following day. We partied with out-of-town friends the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding. Will provide more details, if you need them. Good luck.
Note: We sat 60 people at Casablanca but 50 would have been a better number. We elected not to use the outdoor area except for pictures.

Tierra alta would make a nice venue but i dont know it they cater weddings. I was there for my son's school reunion and the school held it there. The beach would be nice too. Goodluck :-)

Pato, you have been so generous with with your info. Thank you so much. My guest list is growing though so I cannot fit everyone in Casablanca. But your reception sounds lovely  I checked out the Casablanca website too and their menu looks yummy but unfortunately, ill have to cross that off my list

Nice_sherwood, thanks for that. Ill look into Tierra Alta and see what they can do for me
