Friends (and others), I was asked to help out as a non-paid assistant moderator (Mod02). I found out I really do not have the personality to absorb the criticism and keep silent on posts that I believe are out of my tolerance level. This is my problem, not those of you posting. As a result, at times I was part of the problem, not part of the solution. So hopefully there will be some volunteers who can keep the spirit of the forum in line.
Challenging moderators never ends well. I really don't see how it is any business of the members who the owner of the forum picks as mods, he has his reasons for picking said moderators and questioning of this decision should be dealt with harshly, this is not a democracy. I think a change of the user rules/agreement needs to be made. Some people have been downright rebellious to the mods, in most other forums this would result in an immediate ban. Political threads should either have their own section with a warning to members that the threads do not have to adhere to the forum rules or should not be allowed at all. A warning to members who start and an immediate ban on any second attempt. This is my 2 cents.
Certainly understand your reasons and appreciate your honesty. Good luck to Mod01!! I will try to keep my nose clean!!
