So appears they finished the top 100meters of the road was finished a week or so ago. So 200m of the 5km section of road (the part that belongs to Valencia) has been finished. I think that comes out to 4 percent of the road paved in 1 year. I would like to make a prediction and say that not a single meter of pavement will be put down until the next election. I will give credit to whoever is behind the Valencia-Bacong road. That came together rather quickly.....considering what country we are in. Let's just all hope that the state of the Dumaguete route doesn't have to get as bad as the Bacon route got before they decided to do something.
Maybe it is a test section and they are developing a paving technique that will not disrupt traffic for long periods. Maybe not. All of the roads I have seen paved here be it Concrete or asphalt have been completed in seemingly haphazard sections. Perhaps trying to sneak up on the road and catch it unaware of being repaved. Since I have to drive this road every single day, I am very glad for every inch that gets improved. They have many inches to go. It was kind of a mess and my vehicle stayed dirty for the last 4 months, but they actually made pretty good time. Can't wait for the restl to be redone, it is getting to be like swiss cheese already!!
I appreciate every inch as well.....but as you said, many more inches need to be paved. It's getting in a sad state. Which makes me, and my back, sad as well.
