    Try the FAQ's link at the top and search, I searched for 'Upload Pictures' and found this which may or may not help;

    If it won't do it with a valid url normally it is because the picture format is unacceptable, such as a tif image or other non-recognized picture format. Another reason may be that their is a link to something else, like a virus, or pop-up, that is hidden in the picture and that is why it is refused.

    Vallen JPegger is a FREE picture manager that will allow you to easily resize photos. It is what I use. It will also open picture files that most other programs won't.

    Hmmm.....I think I saw this posted elsewhere too. :smile:

    Resizing/ Resize Images for the Forum

    If you are using Windows as your operating system, it will come with Microsoft Paint as a standard program... (Win7 has resize)

    Open Microsoft Paint, if the picture is on a Web Page, right click over the image and select Copy - then go to MS Paint and click onto Paste, it should paste the picture into the black background (try to make that smaller than the image before pasting so it will auto fit)

    Look for Resize, then choose a Pixel size suitable to the Forums allowed uploaded images/ Keep perspective by using a little maths eg;
    If the Image you pasted into Paint is;
    (Horizontal) 273 pixels
    (Vertical) 183 pixels
    And the allowable limit for example is 500x pixels
    Then change the larger number of the two Horizontal/Vertical to 500 pixels

    This will auto resize the Vertical giving you an image that is now 500 pixels wide by 332 pixels high...

    Save as a .JPEG Picture and name what you want the image to be called...

    If you are using a Picture that is already on your Hard Drive;
    Go to File (Top Left Drop Box)
    Go to Open
    Browse to where your image is
    Select your Image
    Click on Open
    Click on OK

    Then follow the steps for resizing it larger or smaller, if you make it smaller, resave the Image and type in 500x at the end so that you keep your Original Image in its original Size and save a new image file as the new 500x pixel size to post in the Forum...

    MS Paint comes with Windows for Free and re saving images as JPEG makes them smaller in Kilobytes/ Megabytes over the original Images. I often use MS Paint to re save an image I upload online after I finish in Photoshop as it makes the image faster to upload and faster for others to download to view...

    It may sound complicated, but just give it a try and see how easy it really is.

    DON'T FORGET to re save as a separate image saving your original High quality image for future use...

    Cheers, Brian.
