I would have thought that the locals would be in a better position to record the effect of the damage and the recovery in progress to APO island reef. I think its a bit of slant on our local talent. Any way if their ship handling is anything like what i seen of the SEA SHEPARD(cowboys) in the south sea they might put it up on APO reef and realy stuff it .that is my thoughts CHEERS
Personally I think the sea shephards do a great job, sometimes they have a few hiccups with proximity with other ships but most of the time they do a great job of protecting the whales. It take some courage to do what they do!
Okay, pre-registering was total scam!! We went, with our ID's, as we were told, and were stuck in a long line, behind hundreds of non-registered people, told to leave and return after 2 1/2 hours. When I asked them why did I register online if no priority, I was just given another registration form to fill out, and a number (700 something), maybe we would get to tour the ship, maybe not. Did we go back? Noway!! I made sure to unsubscribe from their mailing list I am pretty sure is what the online registration is used for
Sorry to hear that, but your experience confirmed my thoughts after reading their registration form. In my opinion they are all about THEIR agenda and could care less about anyone else. They are the typical well funded liberal non-profit. I too, wanted to check out the ship (but could care less about Greenpeace) but changed my mind after reading all of the info they requested to "register". Thanks for sharing.
Sound like you were the one infront of my mrs, she was 700 something and told them she pre registered and was told the same thing! There was more than a few irate foreigners there the usual _ _ _ _ up, she left also disgusted. Why did they not tell you on the form to bring a printed copy of the registration, maybe we all missed that bit.
Hhhhmmmmm, Now they have many more members and details to produce when seeking more money for their projects like getting women to climb a tall building. cheers
First of all, let me apologize personally for what seem to be a chaotic experience. I will not make excuses because it was truly in our end that we neglect to consider technical issues that might arise from signing up online, we truly never expected that thousands of people will come, and the support that you and your community have shown Greenpeace is truly over-whelming. Second, thank you for forwarding your concern regarding the pre-registration and registration that occurred during the open boat day. We truly appreciate constructive criticism on how we can improve the work that we do. Your feedback is really important. Third, just to give you an update on the documentation we did during the reef check led by Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation (CCEF) and Silliman University Institute of Environment and Marine Sciences (SU-IEMS): Climate change to devastate Philippine Seas; Greenpeace proposes Roadmap to Recovery | Greenpeace Philippines Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience caused by the process and thank you for your continuing support for the organization.
