Well if you are close enough and any sort of marksman it is very quick and humane.

once I had to put down the family dog in AU, the poor thing was blind from diabetes and had arthritis, it was impossible to lift the dog without it yelping in pain, so I took it out the back let it relax, look at the surroundings’ and 1 clean shot put the poor thing out of its misery instantly, or the other choice was to try transport it to the vet , it hated traveling in the car and hated the vet, as an animal lover it was hard to do as it was with us for about 14 years.

"Pellet guns do wonders for stray cats"- simply wrong,false, incorrect. if you want to use a gun use a real gun and that's only if your aim is good, which judging from the weakness of your other arguments may be in doubt. Also sound rather sadistic to me, do wonders? Does not sound like humanely dispatching animals to me.

Also you passages from the bible assume that everyone accepts biblical teachings, again wrong.
Again read Mark Twain's essay "The Lowest Animal" which is far more convincing that the opposite of your biblical bases opinion is true. Similarily there is no such thing as a "soul". That's a figment of your imagination, a theoretical construct for which there is no real evidence. You can believe it if you want, same as shamans and witchdoctors believe they can heal. When I said "God" I was not referring to your religious (man constructed) concepts of God.

I do agree with you that euthanasia is sometimes a better choice for animals but I know of no responsible party, organization or body that uses pellet guns as a form of euthanasia.

I probably won't respond after today as as always this is turning into another pissing contest and, quite frankly, your arguments are so weak they don't deserve further response.

Sad to say you are correct about vets. Even in the USA most of them are incompetent. I finally started doing all the medical research myself and was then able to do much better with sick animals. I had a cat with squamous cell carcinoma and concluded, particulary those with cancer, the vet will string you along, milking you for all your worth, without telling you that you may only be extending the animals life a few months at great cost. But due to the research I did they were not able to pull this with me and I simply put my little friend to sleep. I felt terrible but the animal was suffering and would have died a painful death, irregardless of how we treated him. I paid quite alot to have the vet come to my residence so as to avoid traumatizing my pet. Everything you need is on the net to help care for most animal medical care. And the nice thing is that it's much easier to get the medications to do it here, and much cheaper.

I visited all three vets in Dumaguete and talked to two of them extensively. Of the 3 Acuna advised me the best and most honestly. If you look at the other threads on vets here in Dumag. he is recommended by several people, but I have not had extensive experience with him, but my first impressions of him were very favorable.
