Need a bunch of them. Any members here save them to cash in to the banks? If you would like to let me take them off your hands (I'll pay you their value) I'd more than appreciate it. If not can anyone tell me where I could get my hands on a bunch of them. I have a little project for a worn out table top. I am also curious if any of the hardware stores here sell water based polyurethane? Here's what I'm hoping to do. View attachment 9502
The 5 Centavo coins make great washers and are cheaper than buying them at the hardware store !!! (humor) I would never knowingly deface the currency of any country...

Oil based polyurethane turns yellow under the sun from what I read online. Maybe there is no such thing as water based though.....can't believe everything you read online.
Sadly, I thought of this after the idea. I can actually see someone in this country making that complaint to try to get a payout for something so petty. I can also see someone stealing the table and trying to chip away the clear coating to make 100 pesos. Either way I'm still making it. I am making 2 tables, one out of 10 centavo and one out of 5 centavo coins. I'm about 70-80 pesos short on the 5 centavos and 40 or so on the 10. That's a pure guestimation though.
Been in a bit of a pissy mood lately. Hopefully by the time I get enough coins I'll be in the mood to drive in dumaguete traffic and go shopping for the required items to do the job. Driving and shopping: Two of the things I hate most in this country.
