I think it is more to do with the individual families and how they raise their children than the schools or churches. The schools are just now coming into the 20th century, and the church still claims that condoms and birth control are the problem.

In Au the most promiscuous girls were from Catholic schools, and you can’t watch them 24 hours a day, if it gets itchy it needs to be scratched, my own daughter went out her bedroom window at the age of 15 at 2am, with me and her brother on her heals, she still has never forgiven me.
Some kids have sex at school behind the toilet blocks, like I said can’t watch them 24 hrs.

And it don't matter on their upbringing, some girls mature early and want sex, and with all those horny boys out there it’s a problem, and it’s not until you are a father of a girl how scary it becomes.

I disagree, I think it's MOSTLY about upbringing. It is not unusual to find 25+ year old virgins here, who were raised by families with high morals. I don't think you will find much of that in Aussieland.

Good "upbringing" down under is probably a lot different than a good "upbringing" in the Philippines.

And why is there 25 year old virgins here? Usually they have been a maid, and the boss don't let them have a life outside the house, or being a slave in the family’s house, upbringing in Au is on even par with USA or probably better, have a nice day Larry, oh how was your meal the other day when you tried to ignore me when I said hi?

Most of them that I have met have been a part of a large closeknit family, a caring family with good values. Upbringing in the USA is just what I am talking about, there are no family values left in the USA (I assume as you do that Oz is similar). "Families" went out of style in the 70s. We were raised in the country and survived off animals and plants. When we got home from school there were cows to milk and fences to mend. For entertainment we went hunting or clam digging, which also put food on the table.

Today's kids are raised by television while both parents are off working. Where were you when your daughter was growing up? Were you home every day to greet her from school? Did you help her with her homework? Pack her lunch? Go to her choir practice? Girl scouts? Was she surrounded day in/out by good down-to-earth people who loved her?

If I ignored you, it was probably due to the fact that I had no idea who you were, and didn't care to know! Other than that, Garcia's pizza was great, as usual, thanks.

Some weeks I meet 20 new people a week here. I have been here ten years. I do not pretend to remember every name/face, nor could I even if I had to. Every day that I go downtown I get spoken to by people who know me when I have no clue who they are. Sorry if your face did not strike me as memorable, but I still cannot put a face to you.

I have several very good friends who are Aussies, good people (and a**holes) can come from many cultures. Australia is a place I would like to see one day.

Sorry, I can't agree with that. This purity / abstinence idea is a pipe-dream. It doesn't work anywhere else in the world and it won't work here. The proof is in the statistics. We know many girls, from young helpers to my wife's friends in their thirties and even some bar girls that have no clue about birth control. They will all play Russian roulette when the time comes. The only answer is sex education, both for birth control and disease reduction. We constantly try to teach the girls we know about pregnancy prevention, STD prevention, self-respect, and demanding the same respect from their partners. Most girls don't even know that most Barangay Health Centers already provide IUD's or pills for free; some even provide condoms. The RH Bill, if properly enacted, will provide the education these girls need, including knowledge to help reduce childhood abductions and molestations.

    Remember withdrawal = parenthood :-)
