Ever get half way through a good dinner when the wife starts cooking dry fish? Just happened to me! I guess that's more fun in the sleeping alone zone.......

Ever heard of a 'Dirty Kitchen'? Its outside and thus no foul smells in the house. You can get a metal cooking rack with space for a 2-burner gas stovetop, space for pans and utensils and for the gastank at Lee's Plaza or Lee's Hypermarkt. the rack will set you back some 2500 peso and the 2-burner stovetop for something like 900. Good investment if you want to live inside in non-smelly air.

Also banned here,if any dried fish needs cooking it has to go to the neighbours house for cooking. But there is something far worse than dried fish smells and that is that pink coloured shrimp slop they have in bowls in the market!
It arrived here one day in a plastic bag but didnt stay long, it can put you off eating for life!

If it smells like dead fish, you may eat all you wish...

But if it smells like cologne, better leave it alone....
