After spending here about 6 months I get an impression that all musical tracks playing in markets, videokes, cars and from any device that can produce any kind of sound (cellphones, human mouth and players of all types included) are THE SAME.
Being repeated constantly here and there they drive me completely crazy.
    To name but few:
Pink and some guy - Just give me a reason
Alicia Keys - Brand new kind of me
    Mariah Carey - Hero

    and several more.
    What are your top 3?

Most music here like the op mentioned is not music it's just a noise! Always too loud so most of the time you can never hear the words, just the bass!
Robinsons is a good example, when the have some sort of music etc all you can hear is noise as for some reason here they have to have everything on max volume :( just the same as fiestas againn all you can ever hear is the boom boom of the bass and nothing else, they just don't get it!

There's no escape from it at the moment. Max volume, max bass, no understandable words, no tune, no melody, no harmony, no consideration for anyone living nearby. It's been thumping through my house at all hours of the day and night while Silliman has its' annual jamboree of returning braggarts, all telling each other how fantastic and successful they are. The only way to celebrate is to make a noise, but I doubt that any of these highly educated !!! returnees gave one second of thought about how the noise would affect the patients in Silliman hospital next door. Compounded yesterday by Heroes day, and the only way to celebrate is to have some halfwit, high on cheap Tanduay, shouting into a microphone, followed by the loudest fireworks at 1 o'clock in the morning. The same mindless thump thump thump can be heard in every store, outside most shops, throughout the mall, in every jeepney and easyride, and from the cars and bikes of the egocentric numbnuts who cruise the Boulevard at 5 mph, thinking that the sheer volume and deep bass will impress. The concept of soft, relaxing background music does not compute. You'll be told that Filipinos love music (as if other nations don't), but ask any Filipino to name the piece of music playing, who wrote it, who is playing it, and you'll be met the vacant blank stare. It's the mentality of the child, with the empty tin can and stick.

I despise any filipino song with the word "mahal" in it. (so basically every filipino song every made) I really can't tell much difference between songs on the radio here.

Love songs have no business being played by bands in discos......(Wednesday night band at Why Not!!!)

I hate ANY song being played on a karaoke machine.

As someone else mentioned, that rolling ice cream stand's jingle. It's not so much the jingle as the reaction of my X wife's kid when I said, "no". Every time I hear it I prepare myself for a spoiled boat's tantrum. Scarred me for life that jingle has. PTSD from an ice cream stand.

I f#$#king hate; "This Girl is on Fire". By, I think, Alicia Keys. Song is so over-played and over-rated.

    Phahah, nice comments, guys!
Glad to see that I'm not the only one who is so stressed by this non-stop noise.
Also forgot to name the awful ROBIN-SON-SUPER-MAR-KEEEEET-soundtrack, drilling my brain every time I go there.
Suppused to make me happy and motivate to spend more and more money but in fact makes me feel "Run, Forrest, run"
    :-D
