Many said it would not last, i never joined but my friend from the U.S.did( he was the one that helped joe and i helped him a little) . Now he tells me that their is big in fighting within the club over many issuses money being one. That is sad as i think their is a place for a support group here. When i first heard of it i said they would end up fighting , to have such a group it must be a democracy and every idea must be put forward and approved by a majority this is important when members come from all over the world . not only must be SEEN to be transparent it must BE transparent. cheers my mother could spell but i took after dad
That's a shame, but is inevitable as some people will be passionate about certain things while others will not.
That's just human, I was for some time having the illusion that we (the humans) would manage to evolve into something that would resemble an ideal society, with everybody helping everybody, that was of course very "simple minded". Nowadays, I rather believe that we are on the way to the most cumbersome times in the history of human kind...
Really? I think the world is better than it has ever been and will continue to improve. Life expectancy is up, a billion people have been lifted out of poverty in the past 20 years, less people are dying from war than ever in the history of man, more people than ever before have access to basic health care, etc etc etc. What are you basing your assumption that things are getting worse on? Yeah, there is still a lot of bad crap out there, but they aren't moving backwards in most places.
Here's a little article on some of the things I mentioned. The website is mostly complete nonsense meant for humor but I think they really hit it head on with this article. 7 Reasons the World Looks Worse Than It Really Is | Cracked.com
I think things are improving in such a pace that some will imagine we are doing progress, while others realise we are heading for a frontal collision with a mountain wall...
The problem is that most of the world that is improving the fastest is Asia. Just so happens that they hold a massive chunk of the word population. Once they start buying more good that are part of western daily life those items will start to fall in short supply, and prices will go up. The west will feel that sting. I believe the world will start to level out in terms of economic classes. As the 3rd world comes up, the western countries will start to come down and will meet somewhere in the middle. Only so many resources to go around.

Not to go into a great discussion about good or bad is always hard, but launching more and more highly sophisticated gadgets and reaching new records on the stock markets are not progress in human society and thinking, it's purely technical and is (sadly) leading us to believe it's right and progressive but as Humans we are failing and have no clue how to get back on track (actually, we never were on it anyway), common sense is lacking and greed (in it's many shapes) is getting stronger everyday... Sorry to get off topic again, could not help myself...
I once read a good book on the subject. 'Ishmael' by Daniel Quinn. Humanity from a gorillas point of view. Can recommend it.
