Valencia Foot long hot dogs f/s in Valencia?

    I saw a friend in Hypermart just a few days ago who told me a woman is selling foot longs in a bun with chili sauce in Valencia somewhere down the east/west street that runs along side the elem school .. but none of the Valencia vendors knew anything about it today.

    2 for p50 according to him

    Anyone know where that hot dog vendor is?


    I guess it's fiesta in Valencia now. Lots of ukay ukay being sold in the park and 3 tall greased poles with some sort of prize flapping at the top if you can make it up

    Question is, what is in a foot long hot dog that it can be sold in pairs, with sauce and a bun for P50 AND be profitable?

    Price of Hot dogs--- Dog meat is cheaper

    Good question, but you have to remember that 50 P is like $1.25 USD, so the price is not so low. I think 7-11 is cheaper, at least in the states. Then again they were not "foot-long". The 7-11 hot dogs were good snacks... found some in the 7-11's in Cebu and throught they were treasures... how are expectations change... lol

    I'm going to go give them a try in a minute.

    I am highly skeptical that it will be any good though. Hot dogs just aren't the same here........but I'm pretty hungry, so I'll be the test subject.

    Did your friend have some sort of accident that left his taste buds damaged? The did not have the foot long available, only the extra long (which is about 2ft). It's one of those red hotdogs that you get locally. It was on a bun that was barely sticking together and tasted like it had been coated with a heavy layer of sugar. Cooked with excessive amounts of oil.

    Drowning it with mustard was the only way to get it down.

    It was the BigMak Burger stand that had them. Maybe the chili would drown some of the nasty out, but then again I'd bet sugar was one of the main ingredients. One of the extra long was quite filling though but I think it best to feed to the GF or dog. Two extra longs could feed a local family of 4.

    X2 Regular size - 24 pesos.
    X2 Foot long - 62 pesos
    X2 2ft long - 88 pesos.
