Can anyone please tell me exactly where this Mias is? Please! Oh! And also this Tierra Alta restaurant - unless it's out towards Bacong or Valencia ways. I really would like to find a "Good" western food type restaurant, preferably on the north end of Duma...yes, we have been to Moon's at Robinson's Mall...the different hotels, etc. Not interested in 'girlie' places ( like Why Not, etc). I know of Pasta King....Just a good western foods restaurant with maybe cold beers. Thank you. Thank you all.
Coming from your end, head towards the airport. Turn left immediately before the runway. Keep going down to the end of the road, round the bend, and Mias is about 200 metres on the left. Tierra Alta is on the way up to Valencia.
Thanks Broadside!! As soon as I started reading your reply....it struck like a lightening bolt ( or more recently - a earthquake! lol) I do know the place -it's on the way, for me, to Ron's house...I have past it before....but I thought it was just a local hangout for expats who were more into drinking - not necessarily having a decent tasting western style meal! My fault! Well...that info takes care of the Tierra Alta - at least for us! Thank you.
You were right about Mias Don, you sort of got it right. If you go into Mias and do not go out to the swimming pool are you in a more local hangout for expats who are more into drinking, or playing billiards, or Karaoke. When you drive by during the afternoons, you used to see the drinking expats our front. However if you go to the pool, you can good a very good meal, in a typically quiet area (depending the on the type and number of other guests... stick to the weeknights if you can if you want quiet) environment. The night lighting is very nice, with background music. The flowing piece of linens around the shade structure in romantic colors (depending on your culture) add a date night atmosphere. This is much more subdued area than the inside with possible drunk Karaoke singers. Thee are almost two different environments there.
Hey Dave - don't disturb Imp, she's sleeping........LOL!! Thanks for the added info on Mias place! I never would have guessed it. We'll give it a shot, but it will be like for a lunch. We live up north in Amlan, and only go into Duma as little as possible to buy my "Western" type foods and pay bills....and, of course, get my SS $$ into our joint peso account! Ha,ha,ha...you never know if the engine running this older model body might give up it's last gasp, so I grab everything from the U.S.D. account while I'm still running and smoking... hee, hee, hee. Thank you for your additional help.
