I just finished reading the book "Welcome to Biotech Nation" by Moira A.Gunn, Ph.D., in this book the author tells a few stories about her work as the host of the "BioTech Nation" on NPR Talk and NPR Now, the book is from 2007 but is already full of BioTech Science that gets one very uneasy to read about, I have a documentary movie "Our Daily Bread" (Nikolaus Geyrhalter) from 2005 and in it they show some samples of BioTech Engineering, I am posting some "Screenshots" but it's a movie one can download from the net... What do you guys think about this development, for example the bulls and cows shown in the "Screenshots", they are breed for maximum meat production and the calf is born by cesarean in order to keep the mother safe...

I do know of a few who have used these e- cigarettes to help stop smoking real poison-- tar cigarettes. Choice to buy or not. Not for me. I think most countries are now bio engineering to some degree for better drought resistance, better crop output mainly fruits and vegetables. Yes, we are living now longer than ever and my home country is now where we live longest (1400+ over 100 years old in Switzerland), we discussed this last Sunday and came to the conclusion that it's mainly because of better medical screening that prevent a lot of fatal developments by surgery or treatment with drugs, NOT better foods and healthier eating habits...
Maybe having a much more lax lifestyle than generations past had before. Also, each year, with advances in technology, we put much less miles on our body/year than before.
