i have just been infirmed that the website and forum has been sold to anoutside party. the new owner will anounce his intentions when he is ready i am sure there will be some changes but what they are is yet to be seen. in the meantime i will remain a moderater and rules as they are will stand and be enforced. anyone who has read the recent thread about moderation/censorship now should unerstand some of the legalaties of forum ownerhsip and the reason behind the rules. if for some reason you just canot post by the rules please do not post at all. the forum rules are posted here please read them http://www.dumagueteinfo.com/board/dumaguete-city/forum-rules-12126.html muchas gracias cheech

Anything positive would be a good thing Larry. As a relative newbie I have to say that this board has been a very valuable tool for me. I've learned a lot from the great info that has been posted here. I have met some great people from this BB and I appreciate this site for that. As a newbie I don't know the Dane, but I'd like to thank him for providing the venue that made those things possible.
Well as a new idea maybe a few others like me wouldn't mind an area to try and find like minded foreigners who like traveling around (like motorcycle) in pairs or finding other buddy couples to be active with and by active I mean not sitting watching girls all day long while drink your daily 10 beers.
I would like to thank The Dane for his ownership and support he has had for this site. I've met people here that I hope will become friends as we come to live in the Duma area. I wish him well on whatever his next endeavor will be and continuing good health and happiness for him and his family. For the new owner, I hope that there will be an enthusiasm to promote the site with new and ongoing news, articles, a knowledge base for all expats regarding laws, rules, and policies that will affect us all as well as continuing camaraderie and lively debate and conversation between all the members.
Well assuming the Dane is a man (May not be) It was great fun while it lasted...Together they ( Rhoody included) kept a good ship. Yes there will always be differences, but on the whole it was and I hope it will continue to be, a good site. My good wishes to them both......JB
